Why do they call it the Emerald Isle?

The beautiful place in which we live.

So it was girls day out on the slopes, it is so nice to go once in a while without kids! Fun as they are, they can really slow you down, today was nothing but a black diamond extreme skiing kind of day (ok so after having lots of babies between us maybe not so extreme). I had to bring my camera today because Saturday the views were unbelievable at Sundance and I really wanted to capture the beauty from up there on this warm(ish), clear day. I was skiing with Cheryl, Linda, Lisa, & Mayleen - thanks girls it was great! This picture was taken from the top of Arrowhead.

I am so jealous, I love skiing and haven't had a chance to yet this year and it's not looking like i'm going to at all. What a beautiful place we live. How lucky are we!!!

That is a beauty! I have yet to hit the slopes this year, probably bc I'm a little skeptical about my skiing abilities. I need to take another class first. In my days past, I could fly on the board, but I've given that up also. And, I just read your comment on Mindy's blog...she goes to the same doc as you, Wilcox :)

ooops about Wilcox, I love him, he's the one that caught zoey's infection when she was 3 months old. fyi skiing (and I assume boarding is the same it's a little after my time) is like riding a bike, one time down and you are right back in the saddle like you never left. That's why I love it so much as an old, fat, mom.

yeah that is such a cute pic of you and cheryl! but i think it's "Me and Cheryl" or "Cheryl and Me" or whatever. But I'm not an English major so maybe an English major will check your blog and they can let you know. I just realized none of my English major friends check my blog so maybe blogging really is for left-brained people. Good thing you are proving that theory wrong! Anyway looks like a fun day!

Actually I think blogging must go for both brains i.e. Tanya's blog and Colett's blog although Colett is new so we'll see if she sticks with it (but I think she will cuz her blog is great so far).

I am proud of you for getting away for the day. You picked the the best day so far this year. Looks beautiful!

I just have one question...how do you get down from way up there? As I look at those pictures the beauty is over powered by a rush of anxiety and fear. Chad would love it if I loved to ski, I actually would to. I just have a fear of it for some reason. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, and the pictures of the mountains are magnificent!
