Why do they call it the Emerald Isle?

Heavy Heart

It is with a heavy heart and teary eyes that I come to you now. I have received some news that is absolutley the worst news I've heard since, since, maybe since I found out Chaz has a kidney condition (that is a little dramatic, I know, but I am truly sad) MOONLIGHT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. I am devastated, this show was the best blend of action, romance, comedy that I have ever seen on TV. Not to mention the beautiful cast, I even love Shannyn Sossaman after her evilness here.

This song playing, Lucky, is from one of my fave Moonlight scenes when Mick and Beth are discussing their relationship on the roof top, they share a passionate kiss, then he flies to a post to look over the city at night and it's totally a Moulin Rouge moment. It just kept getting more creative and interesting with cool plot twists and vampire fight scenes. I love Beth. The second song playing is from the final finale of Moonlight, shower scene wooo. I am trying to "let it go" but the sadness just keeps sinking deeper, somehow I don't feel like "we are the lucky ones" now.

PS just found out Men in Trees is cancelled too - are you kidding me? Like people are still watching Grey's Freaking Anatomy and skipping these Gems?! I guess that's why stupid movies like Independence Day and Iron Man etc are so popular, uh!!!!

I have been thinking about this ever since I got your text this afternoon...and it just makes me so mad!!! You mentioned Grey's--but how many shows can we have that are Law & Order, CSI, or some rip off of them!! IT GETS SO OLD! These two shows had really cool concepts and I really cannot believe they are not going to get another chance. :( This makes me even more thankful that Ugly Betty, Life and Brothers & Sisters are getting another season.

Ok I don't know if I should admit this but I haven't heard of either of those shows. Sorry, for your lose though! I'm a total reality junky and would feel a great lose if my Survivor, Amazing Race, Top Chef, Project Runway, So you think you can dance?, Step it up and Dance, Shear Genius (should I go on?) were cancelled.

That's ok Shauna, second to my love for these shows is my love for Bravo reality and So you think you can dance. I am slightly comforted in the fact it is coming back on Thurs - can't wait for Shear Genius and Top Chef is absolutley my total fave!!

So I never got into those two either...but I love the reality-SYTYCD, Project Runway, on and on...and I have to admit I love Grey's Anatomy(don't hit me.)

Steph, that's funny. I actually like Grey's too, I watch it at least. I just get sick of everyone going on and on and on about the same old shows.

OK, so I haven't heard of that show. I guess I'm one of "those" people obsessed with Grey's Anatomy. You can only dedicate so much time for t.v. There's only so much time in a week to watch (Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives--do I admit that one?, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol--I love David Cook, The Office. . .)

As for The Host, I'm liking it. It's a little wordy and weird, but also compelling me to keep reading to see what happens. I'll let you know what I think when I finish it.

I also am a fan of Bravo Reality shows, Project Runway (can't wait for the new season), Top Chef (Ryan complains everytime I turn this one on, he thinks it is boring), and though I don't admit this very often I do like to watch Work-out once and a while, I know it is horrible, what can I say!! I also love Greys Anatomy, Office, and Lost, Thursday nights are very busy TV nights, thank heavens for TIVO!

I just read the part about Men In Trees being cancelled, that stinks I did like that show. I haven't heard of the other one (MoonLight).

I, like everybody else have never heard of your beloved show, maybe that was their problem, not enough publicity, I probably would have liked it since we seem to love all things similar. I will mourn for your loss. As long as we are admitting out embarassing TV habits, I love to watch Bravo reality and every now and then a super cheesy lifetime movie!

Once again I'm very sorry for your loss also. I'm also sorry because I do not think I was appropriately sympathetic on the phone but only because I did not until now understand your true dedication and therefore devastation for this horrific decision on the network's part. I must admit that I never liked Beth, nor did I think she was a good match for the hot vampire magnitism of Mick St. John. I will however mourn the loss of never being able to see him suck somebody's blood. I must admit, I was jealous of the friend that got to "turn" him back.
Furthermore, I will take comfort with Colett in watching the Lifetime Movie Network. There is enough drama there for us all--and the occasional vampire!

PS--I like your music choices, not a big surprise, I usually do.

Ok, so, I haven't heard of any of your shows either. Maybe cause I don't watch a lot of TV. When I do, it's usually what Chris is watching - History Channel, A&E, Discovery, you know, the man channels. The only thing I make time to watch is Oprah cause I tivo it. I know, that's probably worse than Grey's Anatomy. Do you ever remember Studio 60 with Matthew Perry. I was devasted when they cancelled that so I can understand your pain. By the way, welcome back to the blogging world -it's been while!
